The two-year F.Sc. Operation Theatre Technology program is designed to prepare students for professional roles in hospital operation theatres and surgical care environments. The program combines theoretical knowledge with practical training in surgical procedures, operation theatre management, sterilization techniques, infection prevention, surgical instruments, and patient safety. Students learn how to assist surgeons, anesthetists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals before, during, and after surgical procedures. Practical exposure helps students develop essential technical, clinical, and communication skills required for effective teamwork in healthcare settings. After completion, graduates can pursue employment opportunities in hospitals, surgical centres, and healthcare facilities, as well as further education in allied health sciences.
